Mads Misses Record

19 março 2013

Mads Ostberg failed in his rally car world long jump record attempt this evening at Trysil, Norway.  In order to achieve a jump of the required length, 85 metres, it was necessary to attain a take-off speed of 170kph on the specially prepared snow packed surface.

On the actual attempt, he could only reach 150kph, enabling him to jump 60 metres, well short of the existing record.  Weather conditions were blamed for the disappointment.  Mads’ manager-father Morten said the surface was too soft, following recent mild weather.
