31 maio 2019

Car 1. OGIER/INGRASSIA

“I have no idea (about times). We try to push.”

Car 8. TÄNAK/JARVEOJA

“I did well but the conditions are much more loose now and it will be harder.”

Car 11. NEUVILLE/GILSOUL

“The stage was okay. I struggled a little bit with the car. We struggled a little with the

settings this morning but it is already better.”

Car 5. MEEKE/MARSHALL

“Good. Really hot. The first time I have had the car working on hard tyres. That felt okay.”

Car 33. EVANS/MARTIN

No time to speak at the stage finish…..”A good run…..!”

Car 19. LOEB/ELENA

Road penalties of 1min 10sec for the Frenchman after SS3 issues. “We try to push. It is

only the last stages (today) we can go fast because we will be cleaning the stages

tomorrow. We try and have fun for the last time…”

Speaking before SS4 -

“Immediately after the start, 20 metres from the start (SS3), we had an issue with no fuel

pressure and a safety valve problem .The car was doing 20km a hour. I am not an

engineer but I think it is a heat issue. The rally had just started and now we are far away.

It’s a bit disappointing. Now we just have to drive.”

Car 4. LAPPI/FERM

“It’s not too bad. A lot of loose rocks and I hit a few. I could not avoid them. The surface is

abrasive.”

Car 10. LATVALA/ANTTILA

“It was a good run for us. It was working well so I am really happy with that.”

Car 3. SUNINEN/SALMINEN

“It was a good run…”

Car 6. SORDO/DEL BARRIO

Road penalties for the Spaniard after SS3 issues.

Speaking before SS4 -

“I don’t know what happened. At the start of the last stage this morning we lost the power

and had a problem with the fuel. We see this problem before in Mexico. The rally is

already over for us. It’s quite hard. I don’t want to talk about the problem. It is not my

business to talk about the problems of the car. When you have a good opportunity in front

of you, it is not easy. I was in a good pace and a good position.”

Car 54. BARBOSA/CARVALHO

Retired after SS1 on Friday morning with damaged suspension.

Car 42. KATSUTA/BARRITT

Trailed Veiby (43) by just 6/10ths of a second in WRC 2 after three stages.

Car 43. VEIBY/ANDERSSON

Led WRC 2 at the start of the stage by 6/10ths of a second.
