Fifty entries for Greece

09 maio 2013

Few surprises lie within the list of accepted entries for the Acropolis Rally, FIA world championship round six.  There are to be 13 world rally cars including a Fiesta for Argentine Gabriel Pozzo making his first appearance in European competition since Wales, 2007.  Pozzo won Group N in Greece in 2001, the year he was FIA Production Cup champion.
Out of the total of 50 entries, 23 will be Fiestas, including six World Rally cars, five RRCs, Tamrazov’s S2000  and the rest are two-wheel drive versions, including the ten entered in the FIA Junior category which do not contest the full route.
There are 17 entries in WRC2 including Robert Kubica’s Citroen while first time in a Fiesta RRC will be WRC2 competitor Lorenzo Bertelli.  Making only his second appearance in a RRC is Ukraine driver Yuriy Protasov in a Fiesta.  There are no WRC3 entries and only one two-wheel drive entry planning to compete on the full route, a local driver in a Fiesta ST.
