The leading drivers of the World Rally Championship rounded up their first day of recce. The reconnaissance program for the Priority 1 and 2 drivers consisted of 4 special stages (Pissia, Loutraki, Kineta-Pissia, Kineta), and also the Qualifying stage. The crews had also the chance to taste the night stage of Kineta by passing through during the night.

"The stages are really rough and soft. But nothing unusual. It's just Greece. The long one it's going to be tough for the tyres, but luckily it's just one stage."
3 SORDO Daniel - DEL BARRIO Carlos
"The night stage was ok. The first day is not easy because it is a little bit tricky. I like it."
4 OSTBERG Mads - ANDERSSON Jonas
"The stages are tricky and quite rough and the ground is very soft. The night stage was dusty, but we were catching the others. I think that we are not going to have any problem."
5 NOVIKOV Evgeny - MINOR Ilka
"The stages were good, the night stage too, and we had no problem with the dust. We will see."
6 AL ATTIYAH Nasser - BERNACCHINI Giovanni
"The special stages were very good. The first special stage is exciting. It's really long. We are happy to be here."
7 LATVALA Jari-Matti - ANTTILA Miikka
"We had a power steering problem with the recce car but everything is ok now. During the night there was no dust, I think it will be no problem. The long stage is nice. There are some nice parts but there are also parts you need to be clever."

"The stages are rough like always, especially because we are running at the same places. In these places it's going to be very rough."

"It was not so bad. The night stage was good and the long one was ok. No problem."

"The stages are very rough. Also, as some of them are repeating, there are ruts in the stages and it's going to be a lot of dust. The long one is quite bad, especially in the end."

"I liked the stages but not as much as last year. Last year they were nice and smooth, this year they are rougher. But this is Greece. We know it."

"The stages were very rough as always. My back hurts and it's not the best way to start a Rally. The Rally in general is the same."
