Stage Flash SSS7 Lousada

31 maio 2019

Car 1. OGIER/INGRASSIA

“I think we did everything we could today from this position. It was very challenging to

open the road today.”

Car 8. TÄNAK/JARVEOJA

“It has been a tough day and challenging. I had a good feeling. We said before the rally

that it was a critical day. Now we need to do the rest of the job.”

Car 11. NEUVILLE/GILSOUL

“It was a difficult day for us. I was disappointed this morning and after the crash (Rally

Chile) you try and get back the feeling. After that, we were in a good pace.”

Car 5. MEEKE/MARSHALL

“Very relieved. We certainly need service…”

Car 33. EVANS/MARTIN

“It is not easy when you are put under pressure (Throttle issue) like that. Your mind goes

blank. Let’s see what is possible tomorrow now.”

Car 19. LOEB/ELENA

“We had a problem when we lost 16 minutes. It is not so exciting to drive in these

conditions. What else can we do?”

Car 4. LAPPI/FERM

The Finn was handed back the 50 seconds he lost trailing in Elfyn Evans’s dust on SS5.

He started the stage just 3.9 seconds behind Gus Greensmith. “It was unfortunate what

happened with the puncture. The speed has been better than the last races and there is

more to come to be honest.”

Car 3. SUNINEN/SALMINEN

No rear brakes after his issues in SS6. “It’s demanding to drive the stage with no brakes.

At least we were able to finish the day. Tomorrow is a long day.”

Car 6. SORDO/DEL BARRIO

Had the door open when he was given the start signal and lost three seconds to Loeb.

Car 23. ROVANPERÄ/HALTTUNEN

“A lot of people. It is always nice. I could have done better, but we had a changing surface

and this was the first time (we did the stage).”

Car 24. KOPECKÝ/DRESLER

“I am very happy. The guys are working well. I am happy with my driving. After Spain it

has been a long time without gravel. My pace has been okay today.”

Car 41. GUERRA/ZAPATA

“It was nice to compete with Kopecky. He is very fast in this car. It is very slippery and we

made two mistakes in there. To the guys watching this, you need to take care in the wet

corners.”

Car 42. KATSUTA/BARRITT

Lost valuable time in SS6 with a right-rear puncture. “Last stage six we had a puncture. I

am quite disappointed. I will try and catch up tomorrow. I don’t give up.”

Car 43. VEIBY/ANDERSSON

“I think we have been smart. Trying to be fast and avoiding mistakes. It has been a good

day, but a long day coming up tomorrow.”

Car 45. GRYAZIN/FEDOROV

“Really hot. I am happy to finish. I know what we need to work with. Too much people

here, really excited to see us, not just on the stages but on the road. Incredible.”

Car 60. MEIRELES/CASTRO

Retired in SS6 with a reported car fire.

Car 64. YATES/MORGAN

Retired with mechanical problems at the finish of SS6.

Car 72. BURGER/TEISKONEN
