The Vodafone Rally de Portugal continues to assert itself as an international benchmark in sustainability in motor sport, maintaining since 2017 the 3-Star Environmental Accreditation from the International Automobile Federation (FIA), the highest level of environmental recognition awarded by the federation. This achievement, recognised by the International Olympic Committee as an exemplary case, consolidates the event's status as a global benchmark for environmental practices in sport.
This commitment is shared by the Automobile Club of Portugal (ACP), which as an organisation has also just received the FIA's 3-Star Environmental Accreditation, positioning itself among the most environmentally responsible mobility entities globally.
This double recognition joins the most recent milestone, the bp Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal, a race integrated into the World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC), which also achieved the highest level of FIA accreditation after an external audit carried out during the September edition, becoming the first race in the championship to reach this level.
These accreditations reflect a solid commitment to rigorous environmental policies, emissions mitigation, waste management and process optimisation for greater efficiency in the use of resources, consolidating the ACP and its events as global leaders in the integration of sustainability in motor sport.
